Web Developer

Experienced web developer with project management experience

Successful candidates will join our web development team, working on website projects for a wide range of enterprises throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The role involves developing websites using the Dotser Content Management System.

Key proficiencies include:
    * Development of server-side and client-side components for in-house and web applications.
    * Quality assurance, testing and release planning.
    * Performing maintenance and updates to existing websites.
    * Working closely with customers, designers and management.

Education and Experience:
    * Educated to degree level in a computer science or related discipline.
    * At least 3 commercial web development experience with direct exposure to commercial web development projects with a proven portfolio of live functional websites.
    * Self starter, quick learner with the ability to research and adapt to new technologies.

Key Skills Required:
    * Applicant should have excellent PHP/MySQL skills.
    * Very strong XHTML/CSS skills.
    * AJAX and JavaScript.
    * Experience with an MVC framework, preferably Zend Framework.
    * Experienced in using Linux/Unix command-line development tools.
    * Experienced in working with revision control systems.
    * Experience of Adobe Flash AS3 beneficial but not essential.
    * Applicants should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

In addition, proven commitment to achieving deadlines, delivering high quality services, strong attention to detail and experience of working effectively as a member of a team is essential.
